Salary: $17.00 USD Hourly - $18.50 USD Hourly
Description:
Our client is currently seeking a Hybrid/Remote Pharmacy Tech in the Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse or Utica, NY areas!

Schedule

Monday- Friday 8-5pm with 1 hour lunch or 8:30-5:00 with 30 minute lunch

**18-month assignment**

**Candidates must reside in Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse or Utica, NY areas**

**Technically Hybrid but will also consider candidates who only want Remote**

This job will have the following responsibilities:

• Conducts an initial level medication prior-authorization
• Routes cases directly to the pharmacist/medical director for final determination
• Issues verbal and written member notification as required.
• Reviews and interprets prescription and medical benefit coverage across all lines of business
• Develops and implements process improvement to increase efficiency in the review process for the clinical staff.
• Contacts pharmacies and physician offices as necessary to obtain clarification on prior authorization requests and drugs being billed through the point-of-sale system and/or medical claim system

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma
• At least one year of recent/current Pharm Tech exp - can be retail
• Minimum of two years' experience in health-related field is required.
• PREFERED BUT NOT REQUIRED Associates degree and Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT)
