Process Specialist Job Description Overview
Process Specialist is responsible to perform container qualification, qualify raw materials, and involved with down stream equipment for Injection Blow and/ or Stretch Blow Molding. To understand machine controls for Jomar, Uniloy, Aoki, Nissei, and USB machines. To assist in the training of technicians to prepare and install tooling. As well as required to make minor repairs, plumbing, electrical wiring, and troubleshooting problems on tooling/ machines when needed. Well versed and the ease of ability to work with basic pneumatic and hand tools. Must maintain a safe and clean work environment. Some heavy lifting is required up to 80lbs. A minimum of working on an 8-hour schedule.
Process Specialist activities and function:
Duties including but not limited to the following:
- Container Qualification
- Color Qualification
- Material Qualification
- Training of the Technician Group
- Maintain Process Set Up Sheets
- Cover or Assist Technicians as needed
- Set-up Tooling - As needed
- Color and/or Material Changes
- Start-up Machine
- In Process Quality Inspections
- PM Tooling - disassembled and assembled
- Tooling Repairs - Minor
- Plumbing and Electric wiring of Tooling and Machines
- Maintenance Troubleshooting Assist- Help troubleshoot the need for maintenance assistance
- Set Up Troubleshooting - Responsible for all machines
- Assist in Down Stream equipment
- Regrind Utilization for all machines
- Tooling Scrap Rate Efficiency - Monitor Efficiency and address issues as needed
- Quality Requirements - Constant monitoring of Quality of product and documentation as needed
- Quality Issues - Find and address issues as needed including root cause investigations
- Assist in the Quoting Process
- Scheduling Technicians as needed
- All other jobs assigned by Management
