Production Material Handler

The purpose of the Production Material Handler role is to ensure that materials are transferred in a timely manner from the warehouse to the production floor.

This role focuses on preparing plastics for use in production. This includes receiving packaged raw materials from the warehouse, unboxing them, and assisting the Base Prep team for the plastics to be used in manufacturing.

This role also ensures that personal protective equipment is stocked properly, and that environmental control materials are in place.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures are met.
• Responsible for unpacking raw plastic parts used in Rotor Assembly in a semi-clean room environment.
• Will perform administrative and physical tasks involved in lifting, receiving, storing and supplying materials to operators, workstations and distribution center.
• Follows Safety Procedures and Guidelines while participating in Safety Monthly Walks/Audit
• Will assemble kits and stage parts on carts for production.
• Will interact with production leads, Incoming Inspection and warehouse personnel.
• Must keep parts in FIFO and notify Supervisor of any discrepancies.
• Dispose of empty cardboard into compactor and prep trash for pick up.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years of experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of MS office applications.
• Basic understanding of applicable functionalities in ERP systems and preferably SAP

TECHNICAL SKILLS & COMPENTENCIES

• Must possess good communication skills.
• Basic math skills are a must.
• Computer skills a plus.
• Experience with SAP a plus.
• Must follow and understand all safety guidelines, GMP, SOPs and DOP's.
• Ability in unpacking raw plastic parts, lifting, receiving, storing, supplying materials to operators, and assembling kits and stage parts.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to frequently lift up to 50Ibs and occasionally up to 75Ibs.
• Union City, Ca site based position.
• Fast-paced repetitive use of both hands.
• Able to stand for the entire shift.
• Must remain Drug-Free. (Drug screening completed prior to starting)

The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to be located in [California] Base pay may vary based on location and other factors.

Base Pay Range: $17.40 - $26.70
