Your Role:

MilliporeSigma in Round Rock, TX is hiring a Production Specialist Team Lead. The Standards Manufacturing-Team Lead is responsible for delegating and organizing workflow to the production team ensuring the schedule stays on track. The Team Lead Role also includes the ability to manufacture a wide variety of products offered by our site ranging from simple to complex. The role also includes training new employees/current team members and communicating production needs to management. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Plans and organizes the activities of the production team to meet productivity standards and customer requirements while exhibiting role model behavior
  • Communicate daily with supervisor for lab needs, overall team performance, and planning
  • Produces solution and solid standards involving Chemstandards, Customs, Secondary Standards, and Calibration Standards
  • Trains and motivates team members for maximum efficiency
  • Resolve minor issues in the production area or escalate to management when needed
  • Perform and/or schedule PMs for all required production equipment

Who You Are:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other Life Science Discipline
  • 6+ months of experience working in a production environment

OR

  • Associate Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other Life Science Discipline
  • 1+ years of experience in a production environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong Knowledge of production process, technologies, and techniques
  • Knowledge of lab safety involving identifying risk and improvement along with good general lab practice
  • Ability to organize and adapt in a demanding work environment to achieve strict deadlines
  • Capability to trouble shoot minor issues with equipment, personnel, and address accordingly
  • Ability to identify possible equipment or lab needs and communicate with management for discussion
