SUMMARY
Supervises and coordinates activities of production workers to produce the highest quality product from the raw materials received and in a safe manner, by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications and directs setup and adjustments of machines.
- Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
- Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
- Interprets specifications, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Maintains time and production records.
- Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials.
- Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
- Performs activities of workers supervised.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESDirectly supervises a team of employees in the production shift. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEAssociate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSPossess a valid state driver's license. Ability to obtain and maintain a Powered Industrial Truck License.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and extreme heat. The employee is frequently exposed to high, precarious places, outside weather conditions, and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.

Hours: 4th Shift - Sunday to Wednesday 8:00 pm to 8:00 am
4th Shift - Thursday to Sunday 8:00 pm to 8:00 am
Shifts are subject to periodic rotation every 8 weeks.
Sunday is usually planned as downtime for Maintenance, Housekeeping, and Training.
