Position Purpose:

Responsible for setting the vision, strategy and objectives for Business Development and Program Management. Leads and manages divisional program development activities for compliance with targets.

Essential Functions:

1. Establishes the vision, strategy and direction for program management objectives within the assigned Product segments.

2. Leads and manages divisional program development activities for compliance within established financial targets and timelines.

3. Responsible for developing and managing program development budgets (including Tooling, Prototypes, Testing Costs, Field Test Units, and completing CER's).

4. Leads all program development activities on current and new projects and products coordinating all inter-departmental activities (Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Finance, etc.).

5. Responsible for leading and managing changeover activities and customer notices and product releases.

6. Develops QOS tracking metrics for business development activities.

7. Leads annual product development plan. Responsible for Operating Plan process and continuous improvement activities (i.e. developing standardized program management tools).

8. Prioritizes divisional business development activities.

9. Works with and reports to Senior Management Team.

Education and Training

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related educational field or work experience; MBA preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

• 5-10 years of Industrial business, Engineering project management or Product Program management experience

• Ability to properly organize and prioritize projects; excellent leadership skills.

• Computer literacy with Windows environment.

• Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills. Must be assertive.

• Self-motivated with good organization and planning skills.

• Must have good people skills and be able to develop good working relationships with the customers, distributors, sales group, staff, etc.

• Needs to have a basic mechanical/technical aptitude (to be able to describe features/benefits to customers).

Physical Demands

• Frequent sitting, work at computer for extended periods of time.

• Light to moderate travel
