The Division of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Cincinnati Children's Hospital is looking for a supplemental clinician to provide weekend nighttime/overnight coverage, as well as weeknight coverage when needed. As the only combined inpatient and residential treatment facility integrated into a pediatric-focused hospital in Ohio, we help youth manage their mental illness by making healthy decisions, expressing emotions through appropriate communication and behaviors, and increasing their ability to live healthy and productive lives.
Cincinnati Children's College Hill Campus houses six inpatient units with a, 83 bed capacity and three residential units with a 30-bed capacity. The work is 100 % clinical. As the on-call pediatrician for the College Hill facility, you would be on-site from 8 am to 3 pm, with remote phone call coverage until the next morning. There are two main tasks:
1. performing a medical assessment and completing a history & physical note within 24 hours of admission to the inpatient units.
2. providing cross coverage for any acute medical developments.As the only combined inpatient and residential treatment facility integrated into a pediatric-focused hospital in Ohio, we help youth manage their mental illness by making healthy decisions, expressing emotions through appropriate communication and behaviors, and increasing their ability to live healthy and productive lives.
About
The Division of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry The Division has 26 academic faculty, 38 advanced practice nurses and over 140 therapists. We provide mental health services across the greater Cincinnati region through our five Cincinnati Children's Hospital sites, partnership with multiple community mental health centers, school-based therapy sites, therapeutic interagency preschool, community psychiatric support treatment programs, and telehealth services. The Division also plays a large role in medical education and research offering both a Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship and Triple Board Residency training program. The Division conducts clinical, health services, education, and implementation science research with particular focus in the areas of developmental disabilities and mood disorders.
Qualifications - ExternalMD, DO or equivalent degree
Board eligibility/ certification in Pediatrics
Approval/credentialing from CCHMC Medical Staff Services Division
Completion of all required pre-employment activities
Experience in ambulatory pediatrics (preferred)
