Volt is immediately hiring a QA Manager in Jeffersonville IN.

The QA Manager will be responsible for quality assurance for the products on the lines

As a QA Manager you will:

  • Make recommendations for repairing defects
  • Assess customer requirements and ensuring that those requirements are met
  • Troubleshoot testing failures
  • Monitor internal control systems
  • Working together with a Quality Assurance (QA) and production department (PD) team to assess product problems and develop solutions
  • Checking that raw materials or components involved in the production process are of optimal quality
  • Estimating time involved in assuring each product's quality
  • Communicating with Quality Control about existing defects and how to prevent them in future products with management and customer
  • Communicating with other departments such as project management and engineering to coordinate scheduling for QA testing
  • Maintaining all company and customer process audit records
  • Maintaining a scorecard for all production (PD) employees based on damaged units and failure escapes
  • Informing the production engineer (PE) lead of top issues in need of corrective actions
  • Statistically monitoring the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions
  • Conducting quality meetings for the customer at regular intervals (determined by the customer)
  • Providing any additional production reports, as requested by the Operation Manager
  • Ensuring all daily failure analysis reports are sent out to the management team
  • Proposing failure criteria if current criteria do not exist or are deemed to be in need of revision
  • Lead the QA team to enhance quality system

This is a Fulltime role

Ideal candidate will have:
  • B.S. in an industrial or mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3 years of prior Product Analyst, Product Engineer, or Product Owner experience, ideally in consumer electronic manufacturing.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, model, and recommend process improvement opportunities.
  • Excellent analytical mindset and problem-solving ability.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft suite: Excel, Access and PowerPoint to apply functions to develop control charts and presentation
  • High energy, integrity and can-do attitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Pay rate is $28-$32/hr

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
