Quality Auditor Lead-2nd Shift

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary

This position supports the supervision of quality auditors the product, develops, tests, documents, supports and promotes quality improvement of the operation; This position will report to the Quality Supervisor and work closely with the Production control/ Materials department.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Must always work in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Support in the supervision of quality auditors (both in product and process audits)
  • Makes sure the Product Audits are performed.
  • Makes sure the Process Audits are performed.
  • Keep audit records according to inspection plans.
  • Generate Non-Conformity Reports in case of finding Non-Conforming Products.
  • Release products that meet Inspection requirements
  • Bring reports of readings and measurements made to products.
  • Report on audit findings in cases of non-conformities.
  • Production support in quality criteria
  • Perform GR&R
  • Support for receiving and shipments (dock audits)
  • Support in the implementation of process improvements
  • Follow up on the instructions defined by the Quality Supervisor and Quality Engineer.
  • Support in the implementation of process improvements.
  • Makes sure that the inspection test is performed (measurements)
  • Makes sure that the performance testing is performed.
  • Leader in containment process.
  • Support in interpretation of plans to auditors.
  • Work collectively to solve problems.
  • Record retention compliance.
  • Work collectively to solve problems.

  • Verifies production test equipment is performing within accepted parameters.
  • Advises production when inspection results do not meet customer specifications.
  • Performs recording, filing duties, HFI, and related duties as required.
  • Communicates pertinent information to next shift as well as production and quality assurance supervisors.
  • Complies with requirements of ISO 9001 as it applies to the function of the position.
  • Performs sorting and inspection of materials or product as requested.
  • Performs such individual assignments as management may direct.


  • ABILITIES
    • Management of computer packages (Microsoft office, Excel, word, power point, etc.
    • Knowledge in the use of measuring equipment (calipers, Micrometers, height gauges, etc.)
    • Basic Knowledge quality processes and criteria.
    • Basic knowledge of SPC
    • Basic knowledge of control plans
    • Knowledge of drawings interpretation.
    • Basic ISO 9001 knowledge.
    • Basic knowledge in testing concepts, tools and methodologies.
    • quality defects and determine next steps: seriousness of issue, containment activities and countermeasure.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints (product drawings)
    • Knowledge of basic-relevant file formats.
    • Ability to recognize quality defects and determine next steps: seriousness of issue, containment activities and countermeasure.
    • Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operation practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and personnel requirements, implementing change.

    Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
    • Language Skills- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence, and to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
    • Mathematical Skills- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
    • Reasoning Ability- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
    • Computer Skills- Competence in personal computer Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, e-mail) and familiar with other database related software.
    Education: High School degree / GED, Or equivalent.

    Physical Requirements

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

    Must be able to work scheduled shifts based on production requirements.

    Must work overtime as required.

    Working Conditions

    Will be required to work within the plant - factory environment where there is some exposure to noise, dust, Metal, and heat. Must adhere to PPE requirements as defined in the safety manual when in the manufacturing area.
