Dal-Tile is currently seeking an exceptional Material Handler Technician to join our TEAM! As the Material Handler Technician, we need someone who is ready to provide manage inventory of all materials relating to packaging.

Primary Objective

Operates various powered industrial trucks to receive, stock, organize, and manage inventory of all materials relating to packaging - Verify critical items inventory weekly. Additionally, Operate industrial floor scrubbers throughout the plant to maintain a clean floor when needed, Fill in for shipping clerk as needed.

Major Function and Scope

Receiving:

Operates various powered industrial trucks to receive materials into the plant and prepare for stocking.

Will work with the receiving clerk and other departments to ensure all shipments are off loaded in a timely manner.

Maintains any paperwork obtained from the freight lines and turns into the appropriate person.

Quantity verification of Bill of Ladings that you sign for from trucks received.

Responsible for ensuring items received are cataloged in the designated areas, per 5S, FIFO and visual workplace standards.

Maintain areas neat and orderly

Maintain inventory counts and verify critical items weekly

Cleaning:

Operates various powered floor scrubbers to maintain a reasonably clean floor.

Checks equipment to make sure it is operating at peak efficiency.

Maintain neat and organized storage areas.

Follows safety guidelines and safe operating parameters set forth by equipment manufacturer.

General:

Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.

Maintains daily sign off sheet for all equipment operated

Follows standard operating and safety procedures.

Keeps area safe, clean and organized.

Performs other related duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required

High school diploma or equivalent

Competencies

Core Competencies include good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner. Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
