This is an on-site position located in San Antonio, TX. Interested candidates must live in or be willing to relocate to the San Antonio, TX area.
Academic Req: Required - Bachelor's degree in human resource management, Business Administration, Business Management, Communications, or Social Sciences programs from an accredited university required.
Certifications: Preferred - PHR or SHRM-CP certification desirable but not required
Work experience: Required - Five (5) or more years' experience with full lifecycle talent acquisition in a high-volume recruiting environment. Must have three (3) or more years' verifiable recruiting experience with a federal contractor. Experience in a multi-employer environment preferred.
Critical Action Items & Measurable Deliverables:
1. Partner with hiring managers to understand the business, their talent needs and what it takes to be successful in each position.
2. Identify and recommend recruiting strategies and ideas to support our growing business.
3. Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job requisition creation to candidate offer stage, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for both candidates and hiring teams.
4. Collaborate with hiring managers to create accurate and appealing job descriptions that clearly define role expectations and qualifications.
5. Utilize various sourcing methods including job boards, social media, professional networks, and industry events to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
6. Assist with identifying, screening, and referring applicants to hiring managers for consideration within the organization.
7. Review resumes and applications, conduct initial phone screenings, and evaluate candidates' technical skills and cultural fit, work history, education, relevant training/certification, and job skills,
8. Provide written documentation and assessment of applicants' relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes
9. Drive fair and consistent evaluation process using behavioral interviewing techniques. And maintaining strong data integrity within our systems.
10. Assist with interview preparations, using behavioral-based techniques to determine if individuals meet specific requirements.
11. Assist and provide guidance to hiring managers regarding conditional offers.
12. Provide frequent updates to hiring managers regarding federal position openings and candidate statuses.
13. Serve as the main POC for all candidate updates and questions, ensuring a positive candidate experience by addressing questions, providing feedback, and ensuring timely communication.
14. Contribute to the enhancement of each organizations employer brand by effectively communicating the organization's culture, values, and opportunities to potential candidates.
15. Proactively identify passive candidates and engage them through personalized outreach and networking.
16. Perform job and task analysis to document job requirements and objectives
17. Familiarity with candidate sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn and Indeed
18. Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job board/newspapers/colleges etc
19. Act as a point of contact and build influential candidate relationships during the selection process
Other Responsibilities:
1. May be asked to mentor or train less experienced recruiters
2. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies in relation to recruitment processes.
3. Represents the organization at job/career fairs and similar recruiting events.
4. Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices
5. Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports to the rest of the team
Requirements:
1. This is a critical cross functional Talent Acquisition role that will align and interact with multiple business affiliates within our global organization. It is imperative that the ideal candidate be a true team player with the businesses they support as well as within the TA and partnering HR teams.
2. Experience recruiting for government contractors, including the requirements for the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage candidates and build relationships.
4. Results-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting recruitment goals and targets.
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple open positions simultaneously.
6. Demonstrated experience using complex ATS systems to access and update employee records
7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
8. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications to create spreadsheets, Word documents and presentations
9. Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of external clients, employees, and management
10. Able to travel as needed by car or air to support employer job fairs or recruitment strategy meetings
11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to exercise sound judgement
12. Flexible with the ability to prioritize effectively, demonstrating organizational and time management skills
13. Remain flexible to schedule adjustments and evening or weekend working hours to accommodate candidate availability
14. Ability to work as a member of the team
