Job Description:
Starting pay rate: $34.825/hour - $46.474/hour, commensurate with years of RN and LPN work experience. Additional Facility Differential Pay of $3.00/hour. Additional shift differentials up to $2.50 paid for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

We are looking for skilled, professional Registered Nurses for permanent full-time as well as temporary on-call positions. In this role you will be an integral part of our Behavioral Health Division and provide critical care to adult patients with mental illness at Lincoln Regional Center (LRC), a 24-hour psychiatric hospital.

Registered Nurses provide clinical supervision under the direction of the Associate Director of Nursing by providing supervision of professional and direct care nursing staff in the delivery of nursing services; and directing clinical excellence throughout the hospital. Examples of work include, but are not limited to:

• Support hospital competency and mentorship program to orient teammates to the hospital and patient goals of care, clinical care program, practices, and procedures and identify core competencies and accesses clinical competency. Program must satisfy agency, state and federal guidelines, as well as accreditation and licensure standards.

• Conduct patient assessments to determine safe effective care and to support emerging and innovative processes.

• Collect, review, and analyze clinical care performance improvement data to identify performance gaps. Consult with Nursing Director, leadership, and other clinical staff to identify factors and appropriate strategies to resolve performance gap.

• Collaborate in hospital workgroups to support hospital clinical processes, review and assess clinical care practice.

• Support specific processes identified through quality improvement processes and implement process improvement.

• Perform consultation with nursing and medical staff, supervisor, administration, and external customers to determine staff training needs based on work until/department performance deficiency or directed program change.

• Directly supervise Registered Nurses, and/or Licensed Practical Nurses and mental health specialists.

• Supervise and monitor the therapeutic milieu of patient care to ensure that RN's, LPN's, and direct care staff provide appropriate treatment actions that are in the best interest of the patient.

PAY RATE: Starting pay rate: $34.825 - $46.474/hour based on years of RN and LPN work experience. Additional Facility Differential Pay of $3.00/hour. Additional shift differentials up to $2.50 paid for 2nd and 3rd shifts.

WORK SCHEDULE: Full-time positions available on 1st Shift (7am - 3pm) 2nd Shift (3pm - 11pm) and 3rd Shift (11pm - 7am) as well as temporary on-call positions available, on-call required to work a minimum of 32 hours per month.

Requirements / Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Nebraska or authority based on the Nurse Licensure Compact to practice as a registered nurse in Nebraska.

Other: Must be at least 19 years of age and able to attend the three week new employee orientation during day hours. Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 60 lbs. Must have a valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.

Knowledge of nursing theory and practice; accepting standards of care; policies and procedures governing nurse care; knowledge of psychiatric disorders; policies and procedures and techniques of providing quality nursing care.

Must be dependable and work positively in a team setting. This position requires intermittent physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping and crouching as well as lifting and supporting patients. Must be able to work a shift assignment which may include overtime, weekends and holidays.
