Summary

The Bywater Institute's mission is to advance applied, interdisciplinary research and community engagement initiatives around coastal resilience and the urban environment. The Research Scientist I position will support the research of the Director of the Tulane Bywater Institute in the fields of hydrology, hydrogeology, water quality, water resources engineering, and/or socio-hydrology. The incumbent will work in a multidisciplinary environment supporting research staff, faculty, and the director.

Required Qualifications

* Terminal Degree (Ph.D.) in geosciences or water related civil engineering.

Preferred Qualifications

* Three or more years of professional post-graduate experience in geosciences or water related civil engineering* Experience writing grant proposals* Ability to collaborate with nontraditional stakeholders and science end users* Breadth in computer programming skills
