Summary

The Research Specialist in the Regenerative Engineering and Equity Laboratory supports laboratory research and assists the Principal Investigator in various lab functions, including conducting experiments, organizing the lab, ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, managing data, and contributing to writing grants, reports, and manuscripts. This position trains undergraduate and graduate students in lab skills and coordinates their schedules and work. This position ensures lab compliance with safety protocols and manages documentation for experiments.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.* 3 years of directly related research experience.

Preferred Qualifications

* Proficiency in data and image analysis using Excel, R, and other analysis software.* Experience with advanced lab techniques, such as cryopreservation, RNA isolation, immunoimaging, electrophysiology, and cytotoxicity assays.* Demonstrated experience in generating, characterizing, and maintaining small rodent animal models, including developing transgenic lines.* Expertise in scientific writing, data analysis, and grant management.* Experience in contributing to SOP development and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines (e.g., IACUC protocols).
