Overview
Skylark Meats, LLC, an American Foods Group Company, has an opportunity for a RTE Quality Assurance Tech Located in Cimpls LLC, Yankton SD
As our RTE Quality Assurance Tech, you will:
- Continuously monitor all CCP's and pre-requisite programs such as SSOP's, GMP's, metal detection, calibrations, net weights, cooking and chilling procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
- Accurately complete detailed documentation and maintain accurate records of production data, test results, tracking traceability information to ensure product identification throughout the processing stages, and all necessary paperwork to adhere to compliance regulations and internal procedures.
- Actively monitor production processes to prevent potential issues before they arise. Visually inspect and test finished products, raw materials, and ingredients to ensure they meet safety and quality standards, including proper labeling, temperature control, microbial contamination, sensory attributes.
- Place tags to hold or reject product, materials, or equipment not meeting specifications.
- Communicate and report all concerns to management or other personnel of production. Stop production for any food safety or safety concerns. Assist in identifying root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence as well as following up on preventative measures.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications (Required):
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday with daily overtime. Must be able to work overtime as required. Start times and hours vary based on production needs.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English (speak, read, and write) - must be able to communicate with Government personnel and other designated personnel, read specifications/labels, SOPs, SSOPs and HACCP, and be able to complete necessary written documentation).
- Must be able to successfully complete training:
- Lockout/Tagout
- Safety
- Safe Quality Food (SQF)
- Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
- Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP)
- Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
- Food defense
Preferred Qualifications:- Ability to effectively communicate in Spanish (speak, read, and write).
