Our client in the North Atlanta area is seeking a Sr. Accountant for a Contract opportunity. This role will play a crucial part in managing and processing revenue transactions, while also supporting various broader accounting functions.
This is a full on-site position. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Required.
Responsibilities:
• Perform bank, account, and balance sheet reconciliations for high-volume financial transactions across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations for 150+ accounts, clearing liabilities, and ensuring alignment with balance sheet requirements.
• Prepare, book, and post journal entries using pre-set templates, including operational expenses (OpEx) and intercompany transactions.
• Analyze and resolve variances identified during reconciliations.
• Leverage advanced Excel skills (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas) to streamline processes and handle large datasets.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance Required
• 3+ years of experience in GL reconciliations, month-end close processes, and financial analysis.
• Experience managing high-volume transactions across 140+ locations with high attention to detail.
• Expert in multi-unit/multi-entity accounting, including reconciling multiple bank accounts and managing intercompany transactions.
• This person must be familiar with using and ERP System as they are mostly automated.
• Experience with lease accounting and revenue recognition standards (e.g., IFRS 16, ASC 842, ASC 606) is highly desirable.
• Excellent ability to multitask and prioritize workflow.
