RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Director, Mobile Software Engineering in San Diego, CA.Summary:We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead our mobile and software development organization. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from concept to delivery, ensuring the creation of high-quality software products that meet our users' needs.Responsibilities:- Senior Director will manage large mobile (iOS and Android) software teams of 40+ staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
- Develop and implement a comprehensive software development strategy that aligns with the company's overall business goals
- Lead and mentor engineering managers, providing guidance and support in driving team success
- Oversee the entire software development lifecycle, including product planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Champion the adoption of best practices in software development methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum
- Stay up to date on the latest software development trends and technologies, and identify opportunities for innovation
- As a Senior Director, you will collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, such as product management, design, and marketing, to ensure a seamless product development process
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the software development organization
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience in software development, with at least 12+ years in leadership roles
- Minimum 5-7 years of managing mobile, iOS and Android software teams
- Proven experience managing large mobile and software teams of 40+ staff
- Strong experience in developing and implementing software development strategies
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies
- Excellent understanding of software development best practices, including code design, testing, and deployment
- Experience in architecting and building scalable, maintainable, and secure software solutions
- A track record of delivering high-quality software products on time and within budget
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of talented engineers
- Passion for innovation and a commitment to continuous improvement
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
