Position Overview: The Senior Director of Salesforce Excellence will play a central role in facilitating the strategic and operational cross functional Salesforce initiatives to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Company's salesforce investments. The role will be responsible for partnering across U.S. Operations in establishing a transparent, connected, cross functional U.S. Salesforce Excellence framework as well as operationalizing a cohesive way of working across key commercial functions. Success in this role will rely heavily on building strong working relationships across Sales, Marketing, Data & Digital Solutions ("DDS"), and Commercial Operations to ensure business priorities are tightly connected to sales teams' efforts and initiatives impacting the salesforce are managed and executed in an orchestrated manner. In addition, this role will partner with Sales leadership to streamline and prioritize the measurement of performance against those priorities & initiatives and work closely with across the Commercial organization to address gaps.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, execute and maintain a comprehensive salesforce effectiveness strategy aligned with U.S. Operations and Sales Leadership objectives.
- Central role in coordinating, connecting and prioritizing the various activities impacting the salesforce to ensure optimal colleague experience.
- Partner across Sales and DDS in ongoing assessment of sales processes, tools, and technologies to maximize sales productivity and effectiveness.
- In collaboration with Commercial leadership, establish selling & execution metrics as part of Salesforce Excellence Framework as well as regular cadence to measure and review performance.
- Conduct regular analysis of sales and execution data in partnership with DDS to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Partner closely with Business Operations and the Data & Digital Solutions team to ensure strong alignment and integration of sales strategies & initiatives into selling tools & platforms such as CRM and NextGen Selling Engine.
- Contribute to the ongoing evaluation of the U.S. Go To Market strategies to ensure investment in the salesforce channels are optimized to seize market opportunities.
- Partner closely with Learning & Development team in tailoring training working to address performance gaps whose root cause could be addressed through training.
- Work across stakeholder groups in ensuring appropriate change management measures are accounted for in support of the Sales organization.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in combination of Sales, Sales Operations, Sales Effectiveness, or a related role, preferably within the animal health or human health industry.
- Proven experience in the ability to partner cross functionally across a Commercial organization.
Qualifications:
- Understanding of the sales professional experience including fluency in data, tools & processes
- Strong collaboration & communication skills comfortable operating in a cross functional team
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross functionally within a dynamic Commercial organization.
