ECS is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer, Senior to work in our Fairfax, VA office (Hybrid). Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.

Job Description:

ECS is seeking talented professionals to join our successful and growing team in building the next-generation Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Cyber data solution. The CDM Program is the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency's (CISA) dynamic approach to strengthening the cybersecurity of Federal networks and systems through better awareness and visibility into their security posture and cyber threats. The CDM Data Services product is an integrated suite of multiple Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) products, software configuration packages, and custom code which work together to operate as an integrated solution tailored to meet DHS requirements.

ECS is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer that can validate initial stakeholder requests, evaluate technologies, and provide feedback and guidance on various aspects of solution design. This role will involve working across teams with the goal of optimizing development, delivery, and operations of our solution. Motivation to explore problems, to find creative solutions and grow existing skillsets is a must. We are seeking a dynamic, energetic, and engaging team members who love a challenge! The ideal candidate will be able to align to the following duties:

  • Install, configure, maintain, update, manage and refine information systems.
  • Ensure system components maintain compliance with client requirements.
  • Examine vulnerabilities and determine actions to mitigate them.
  • Coordinate and/or provide support for applications and operations.
  • Recommend, schedule, and/or implement repairs within the environment.
  • Conduct functional, interoperability, and security testing.
  • Analyze system performance for potential security and performance problems.
  • Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) and plans.
  • Provide knowledge transfer to team members and clients as needed.

Required Skills:
  • Must be a US citizen with ability to obtain Public Trust Suitability.
  • At least 8 years of experience, including 6 years designing, implementing, securing, and maintaining solutions within Cloud Service Providers (AWS GovCloud preferred).
  • At least 5 years of infrastructure experience related to network security.
  • Experience designing solutions within the Government Cyber Mission Space and legal constraints applicable to civilian Government Agencies (e.g., FISMA, FIPS, SecOps).
  • Experience supporting Cloud Engineering and Automation (e.g., DevOps/DevSecOps, CI/CD pipeline, Infrastructure as Code).

Desired Skills:
  • Prior DHS CISA mission experience.
  • Experience producing technical documentation to communicate system designs and technological analysis.
  • Experience designing and documenting security controls for System Security Plans and support of FISMA accreditation processes.
  • Experience defining and implementing solutions including data segmentation and security controls in a multi-tenant environment.
  • Experience integrating multiple information systems, such as application integration utilizing standard or custom integrations or APIs.
  • Experience designing and configuring monitoring and logging solutions and analyzing / reporting results for security and SLA management.
  • Cloud service cost planning, budgeting, analysis, and cost optimization through implementation of savings plans.
  • Experience in assessment, evaluation, and documentation of client environment, infrastructure, process, and operations.
  • Ability to interface with all levels from end users to senior management and contract team members.
  • Applicable AWS Associate or Professional level certification(s).
