Summary:
Manages the organization's construction projects from planning to completion.
Responsibilities:
Provides programming, space plans/test fits, space surveys, and develops architectural / engineering drawings and specifications for assigned projects.Prepares and oversees all financial aspects of a project, including estimates, project budget, funding, purchase orders, change orders, and requisition payments, from feasibility through close-out. Identifies and resolves budget problems, project risks, develops and maintains project cost reports and schedules. Prepares weekly project status and schedule updates and reports and monitors/updates construction schedules.Provides project leadership, coordination, and facilitation with internal and external parties to meet project goals, communicates/obtains information, and proactively identifies and resolves project-related issues.Provides a full range of project management services for the development, design, construction, completion, and activation of assigned construction projects including managing scope, schedule, cost, risk, and resources.Assists with the development of quality control initiatives to improve project delivery, standardize work practices and ensure compliance with MHS policies, government codes and regulations.

Additional Job Information:
Complexity of Work: Must have knowledge of building systems, design and construction techniques, Joint Commission, AHCA code, applicable NFPA codes, ADA, Infection Control Procedures, and Florida Building Code as applied to ongoing planning/design/construction projects; ability to read, interpret, and apply construction document and specification information; working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, e-Builder, and AutoCAD. Requires critical thinking skills, effective communication skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Required Work Experience: Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in related to the design, construction, or planning of large projects, complex facilities, or equivalent. Other Information: Ten (10) years of experience may be considered in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.Additional Education Info: in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, Construction Management or a related field.
