General Function
Reporting to the Sr Director, Global ISC - Sustaining Engineering, they will work closely with platform peers in BD Excellence, CTW, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, R&D, Finance, HR, Med Affairs, Marketing, GIE and commercial organizations.
The MMS ISC Technical Integrator will be part of the ISC Sustaining Engineering team supporting an assigned platform and is responsible for driving the execution of the MMS ISC strategies in support of the platform strategic goals for all post market changes. They will work closely with R&D ensuring the alignment and performance of product and processes within the respective platform enabling E2E capabilities and drive business partnership.
They will be responsible for the development and successful execution of project plans in support of the ISC strategies including network optimization, cost-out initiatives, and capital investments.
Main Responsibilities
- They will represent and lead ISC activities on a platform team connected to the respective sustaining and change to win teams, supply chain and plants.
- To support the platform team, they will work with other functions to gather and manage input related to business needs, capacity, and demand. They will collaborate with procurement to source materials and coordinate with manufacturing, supply chain, and regional teams to address network optimization projects and plant performance.
- The successful candidate will formulate operations plans to meet the platform team's ISC strategic objectives. Provide analysis, alternative evaluations and define recommendations to achieve results.
- Coordinate with the site leaders to deliver safety, quality, delivery, cost, and talent goals. Leads the execution E2E ensuring functions and plant performance achieve platform goals.
- Address key operations issues that have major cost, quality, supply, revenue, asset utilization and/or strategic impacts. Acts globally working across mfg. sites. Advocate for the plants.
- Supports strategy development, capacity and architectural/network programs execution. Takes the lead in effectively communicating across these organizations while driving the strategy.
- Supports the change to win process for the platform and is responsible in driving site execution and delivering platform cost to win savings. Facilitates business and plant teams to maintain progress on successfully achieving 3-year CTW plans and ensuring plant budgets align with CTW plans.
- Align ISC strategies with the worldwide platform team, supply chain organization, and regional management in assessing capacity needs, developing capacity, sourcing, and supply plans and in developing manufacturing capacity plans. This role involves partnering with the capacity/network team to make location recommendations, considering network types based on plant purpose.
- Provide assistance in developing capital requests for capacity expansions, line extensions, and new products, while also maintaining existing products. Work with plants, R&D, finance, supply planners, marketing, and platform leaders in the development and approval of CB-2's recommending capital expenditures and their financial justification. Provides analysis and narrative outlining project objectives, scope, and timing. Provides capital planning information and monitors capital spending to ensure compliance to targets and forecast.
- Provide leadership and coordination to get plant priorities approved, resourced, and implemented. Meet with marketing, R&D, Regulatory, QA and others to ensure plant programs are aligned with market needs and get required support to complete implementation.
- Maintains a strong communication pathway with the ISC VPs, collaborates with plant managers, GIE, R&D and others to develop operations plans for production of released product as well as startup of new products and line extensions including the selection of equipment and methods.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other bachelor's degree, MBA desirable.
- Minimum 8 years manufacturing experience / leadership experience as Plant Manager, Production Manager, Engineering Manager, or Program Manager for large projects minimum 2-4 years.
- Operational excellence, quality, regulatory, discernment, and finance advanced knowledge in cost accounting and capital management. Knowledgeable in ERPs and production systems environment.
- Strong technical expertise in project management and operations management with strong knowledge in Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma (GB/BB certification preferred).
- Communication skills with all levels of the organization
