The automotive markets Holman serves include fleet management and leasing; vehicle fabrication and upfitting; component manufacturing and productivity solutions; powertrain distribution and logistics services; commercial and personal insurance and risk management; and retail automotive sales as one of the largest privately owned dealership groups in the United States.

BMW Mt. Laurel is currently seeking a Service Manager.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to ensure the effective operation and growth of both the parts and service departments.
  • Supervise and provide leadership to the parts and service managers, ensuring they have clear goals, proper training, and necessary resources to carry out their responsibilities effectively.
  • Oversee parts inventory to ensure adequate stock levels, minimize excess inventory, and optimize turnover. Implement inventory control measures to prevent loss or theft.
  • Negotiate with parts suppliers and service vendors to secure competitive pricing, quality parts, and timely delivery of services.
  • Maintain high standards of customer service in both parts sales and service repairs. Address customer complaints or issues promptly and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor departmental budgets, expenses, and revenue to ensure profitability. Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality standards.
  • Establish and enforce quality control standards for both parts and service departments to ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications and parts meet quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and dealership policies, including safety regulations, environmental standards, and warranty requirements.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for parts and service staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Regularly review key performance indicators (KPIs) for both departments, such as sales targets, customer satisfaction scores, and productivity metrics, and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements in automotive parts and service, and implement relevant tools and systems to improve efficiency and customer experience.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute promotional campaigns to drive parts sales and service bookings.
  • Continuously evaluate processes and procedures within both departments, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Relevant Work Experience:
  • 3-5+ years' experience, including 2+ at a leadership level
  • Strong understand of automotive parts, service operations, dealership practices, and industry trends
  • Experience in parts inventory management, procurement, sales, repair estimating, technician supervisor and customer service within a dealership or automotive repair facility
  • Breadth and depth of technical or functional expertise in own area of responsibility or department; may be acquiring knowledge of other related areas of departments
  • Developing and implementing processes, methods, and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy
Education and/or Training:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Additional education, certifications, or other distinctions are a plus
  • Proficient in various desktop tools including MS Office Programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint etc.)

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $97,450.00 - $141,300.00 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay and bonus earnings.
