Mueller Water Products, the nation's leading manufacturer of flow control devices for the water and gas distribution industries, has an immediate opening for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk in our Decatur, IL facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare, print, and sort bills of lading for shipping
• Prepare Customs paperwork including commercial invoices for shipments to Canada
• Photograph international shipments prior to shipping
• Communicate with Customer Service and provide information as requested including copies of packing slips or delivery receipts and tracking numbers
• Communicate with carriers and provide copies of bills of lading as needed
• Investigate claims of shortages/overages by communicating with carriers, Customer Service, and Accounts Receivables and provide paperwork for credit memos as needed
• Provide paperwork and documents as needed
• Prepare shipping documents for transfer to storage
• Track manpower weight averages
• Assist Shipping Manager and Shipping Supervisor when required
• Order supplies for Shipping Department

Required Experience and/or Education:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Effectively work in a team

• Technologically flexible
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to identify roadblocks in material/information flow and manage exceptions

• Ability to adapt to cultural differences
• 2+ years' general work experience in a shipping/receiving environment
