As Senior Human Resources Manager, and a member of the executive plant leadership team, you will have the opportunity to impact change in a high visibility facility, with significant HR career advancement opportunities across BD geographies. This role has a blend of strategic and tactical responsibilities.

Reporting to the Associate Director HR, Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) of Diagnostics Solutions (DS), the Senior Human Resources Manager provides leadership and human resources support for the management team of the Hunt Valley, Maryland plant. The Sr. HR Manager makes a key contribution to the design, development and introduction of local ISC-related policies and programs. Supports the implementation and ensures consistent application of global, regional and functional HR programs and policies to drive site success. This role provides strategic guidance and guidance in talent management, succession planning, organizational development, skills analysis, training and development, team development and HR service delivery. This position collaborates with Centers of Excellence (COE) to improve HR practices and consults with managers on key topics including organizational design, roles and responsibilities, hierarchical strategies, talent acquisition and remuneration structure. This role also mentors the leadership team by providing timely coaching to improve leadership effectiveness.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Partners with leadership team as a strategic business partner to influence and collaborate on strategic initiatives, organizational design, engagement elevation, and HR planning.
  • Oversees recruiting efforts in partnership with Talent Acquisition Shared Service.
  • Coaches management to resolve performance corrective action issues and owns the development of HR scorecard and metrics.
  • Maintains all HR related legal mandates, such as AAP, FLSA, HIPAA, FMLA, etc., and represents the company in legal matters.
  • Develops employee relations strategy, promotes "Great Place to Work" and maintains a union-free environment by leveraging associate engagement.
  • Manages Succession, Compensation, and Career Development Planning.
  • Develops, communicates, interprets and implements HR policies and participates in annual budget preparation.


About you: To be successful in this role, you require:
  • Minimum bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, at least 2 of which are above the generalist level. Manufacturing experience/Lean concepts is strongly preferred. CI certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience
  • Prior experience working with HR Centers of Excellence is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating HR strategies to support and advance overall business strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in employee relations, legal compliance, staffing/workforce planning, transformation/change management, labor law, and compensation; training and development, and organizational design experience is preferred.

Salary Range Information
$121,700.00 - $200,700.00 USD Annual
