Job Description Summary
As the communications leader within the US Region Sales Enablement team, the Manager, Change Management and Communications will align with the US Region Sales Enablement team to drive progress towards regional commercial enablement and excellence objectives, lead key change management processes across the US Region and align to the broader Commercial and Customer Operations cultural beliefs. This role is responsible for developing and implementing internal communication strategies, change management efforts that use communications to focus on the people side of change, culture/associate/seller engagement, organizational capabilities and salesforce effectiveness. In addition, this person will support and build uniquely curated content that will support these communications. This is a critical role that is responsible for increasing adoption and utilization of tools/processes such as CRM (Salesforce.com) utilization and sales process excellence through enhanced awareness and understanding of commercial excellence initiatives and various changes across the BD commercial organization.

Role Overview
Working within the US Region Sales Enablement team, the Manager, Change Management and Communications will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies/campaigns, content development and planned stakeholder engagements that focus on advancing all US Region Sales enablement initiatives, with a heavy focus on CRM (Salesforce.com) adoption/utilization and other initiatives related to disciplined sales/marketing execution and commercial excellence. As we drive towards CRM (Salesforce.com) excellence in the region, this person will serve as the leader the change management and communication plan and ensure achievement of overarching project goals. This individual will work cross-functionally to understand the needs of our internal commercial stakeholders, sales leaders and other commercial associates, and develop and deploy strategic content on a consistent basis to influence field level actions and behaviors. Working with CCO leadership, this role will support on-going change management initiatives and help develop effective messaging campaigns that drive belief and adoption of important needs for our US team. In addition to business-specific strategies, the position will also align the CCO's cultural beliefs (Own It, Win Together, Better Everyday) and BD's overall purpose, strategy and culture.

This role will report to the VP, Sales Enablement - US Region with a dotted like to the Sales Enablement Leadership Team.

Primary Responsibilities

Leadership Team Communication and Change Management

  • Act as a consultant and strategic thought partner to the VP, Sales Enablement - US Region and the broader US Region sales enablement team to develop, manage, execute and champion region-wide internal communication and change management strategies and tactics that drive associate engagement and process adoption through enhanced awareness and understanding of business priorities and key initiatives, in alignment with the key priorities of the US Region.
  • Enable and coach the US Region Sales Enablement team, as needed, to ensure content aligns to high standards of excellence and effectiveness of delivery, including presentations, commercial team-facing content/presentations. Work in partnership with US Region Sr. Leadership by providing strategic and practical recommendations to communicate region goals, priorities and progress.
  • Work with the US Region Sales Enablement leadership to support development and delivery of communication efforts that further activate and reinforce cultural objectives.
  • Using analytics to understand and drive insights into the organization regarding change transformation efforts designed to ensure optimal health and success of the change transformation efforts, especially as related to items impacting commercial excellence and salesforce engagement.
  • Partner with the Central Sales & Marketing team, along with business-unit leadership, to develop communication strategies and materials for high-impact with associates.
  • Develop and maintain ongoing management of effective communication vehicles (e.g. Intranet, Town Halls, newsletters, Showpad, Intrepid and other channels which may be appropriate). Define and implement strategies that keep these channels fresh with content while further activating them in innovative and novel ways.
  • Develop and implement external thought leadership strategy for US Region Sales Enablement Leadership.
  • Support communication and engagement in Inclusion initiatives and events.


Internal Communication and Associate Engagement
  • Research, write, edit and publish content for communication vehicles including intranet, town halls, video scripts, emails, presentations and others.
  • Manage sensitive organizational and transformation initiatives in collaboration with the region leadership team.
  • Work at both the strategic and tactical levels to develop and advance communication materials and content; deliver across internal platforms, channels and geographies.
  • Serve as liaison between the US Region and Central Communication team to ensure alignment, sharing of best practices and appropriate inclusion of business content within companywide and segment communications.
  • Establish mechanisms for monitoring and measuring the value, impact and outcome of communication and change management initiatives, and proactively adjust approach as needed based on metrics.


Change
  • Lead efforts to influence and communicate change across US Selling and commercial organization as it relates to CRM Enhancements and overall utilization and adoption of the tool.
  • Measure impact of change management initiatives through the development of KPIs and other metrics to ensure success.
  • Parter with external organizations and/or consulting partners to ensure leadership and feedback/support is provided to drive impact with any change management initiative that presents itself.
  • Lead efforts in building new campaign material and content for priority region initiatives including CRM Excellence, WIN ROOM and BD Way of Selling.
  • Drive uniquely curated communications for US Region commercial associates to inform key stakeholders of our efforts and contributions across the business-units.


The Successful Candidate:

We seek an experienced and passionate professional who understands the power of communication in enabling individuals, teams and companies to perform at their very best. This individual will collaborate across the US Region Sales Enablement Team to recommend and align on key objectives, priorities and messaging, and execute a robust communications and/or change management approach that delivers and demonstrates visible and measurable impact and outcomes for the US Region and businesses. Additionally, the individual will serve as a trusted partner and adviser to the VP, Sales Enablement - US Region, Sales Enablement Leadership Team and broader US Region Commercial and Customer Operations team.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree required - preferably in Communications, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years professional experience required.
  • Minimum 2+ years professional experience in communication in a corporate environment required (experience in a global, publicly traded company preferred)
  • Experience in health care industry is preferred.
  • Must possess excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills in a corporate environment with strong editing capabilities.
  • Must submit three writing samples with your resume when applying.
  • Must submit two personally curated PowerPoint presentations when applying.
  • Must be a strong editor and proofreader, with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in internal and organizational communications, preferably change management and transformation.
  • Experience leveraging new technologies technologies and tools around communications and change management preferred
  • Expertise in AP Style writing preferred.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher), Adobe, Showpad, Intrepid, Articulate experience preferred.
  • Willing to travel up to 30%

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task, take initiative and act independently and work under tight deadlines.
