Position Summary:

Procurement and Supplier Management (PSM) is a dynamic key contributor to the growth of Dexcom. PSM comprises of Direct materials Sourcing & Purchasing and Vendor management functions, and Indirect Sourcing & Procurement teams. All teams collaborate to help guide the business to preferred suppliers and preferred buying channels to drive compliance to procurement practices.

PSM team has recently restructured to meet future needs of the business globally. The Indirect Sourcing & Procurement team as a result is looking for a dynamic individual to fill this newly created role of Senior Manager, Procurement Operations (Indirect) to lead a fast-paced Indirect procurement team with the development and implementation of best-in-class processes and operationalizing such processes through Dexcom's Spend Management platform (Coupa). PSM team is rapidly expanding Coupa in multiple geographies and this role will be responsible for a successful rollout outside North America while also improving and optimizing the existing deployments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the key business partner for all functions involved in Indirect buying, and drive procurement process and systems adoption by improving user experience
  • Provide leadership and direction to the Indirect procurement team managing up to Four individuals
  • Responsible for developing and operationalizing key procurement processes; Procurement Intake, Guided buying, Supplier set-up, contracting process, Catalogs, Preferred supplier lists working closely with sourcing managers and other functions
  • Supporting the enablement of buying channel strategies and seeking new opportunities to continuously improve a simplified user experience for employees who make purchases and pay for goods and services
  • Maintaining a high-level knowledge of Coupa, new features and modules available, and any functionality releases provided by Coupa
  • Liaising with the Information Technology team to prioritize and develop business requirements for new features and enhancements based on solution knowledge, business needs, and stakeholder feedback
  • Leading the development and maintenance of communication plans, process documentation, and training materials as it pertains to the overall buying experience
  • From time to time, answering employee questions related to the procurement process, policy, and navigating Coupa
  • Develop and present materials for various meetings
  • Develop and report on Indirect procurement related metrics

Skills and Requirements:
  • 10+ years procurement experience in the Indirect space
  • 5 years people management experience
  • 5 years' experience in Coupa Source-to-Pay or similar e-procurement solutions
  • Clear understanding of the end-to-end Source-to-Pay lifecycle
  • Collaborative, open-minded, and proactive mentality
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Creativity and ingenuity in problem-solving and innovating
  • Willingness to take the initiative and take on new challenges
  • Track record of success leading and participating in cross functional improvement efforts; includes creating process diagrams, analyzing workflows, and developing standard operating procedures.
  • Mastery of Excel & PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications: Practical knowledge of eProcurement systems functionality and capabilities
  • Prior experience leading rollout of eProcurement solutions globally
  • Specialized qualification in Procurement & Supply Management space; CIPS, CPSM or similar

Travel Required:
  • Up to 15%
Exempt Salary Details:

The annual base salary range for this role is $141,800.00 to $236,400.00. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.

Experience and Education

  • Typically requires a Bachelors degree with 13+ years of industry experience.
  • 5-8 years of previous people management experience.
