Meet the team:

We are seeking a visionary Senior Product Manager to join our product management team and spearhead the creation of wearable hardware strategic vision, and drive development of next-gen sensor hardware platform. This pivotal role requires a future-thinking individual who can integrate cutting-edge technologies and align product development with Dexcom's strategic objectives. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership in project management, market research, and brand integration to drive the entire product development lifecycle while possessing strong technical acumen.

Where you come in:

  • Strategic Vision: You will define the long-term vision for future technology integration, identifying and advocating for for innovative opportunities and trends that support differentiated hardware solutions that impacts multiple product lines.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: You will act as a central liaison, integrating insights from various marketing and product teams to refine product specifications and strategies.
  • Roadmap Development: You will develop and manage detailed hardware platform roadmaps, ensuring alignment with engineering and advancements and market dynamics.
  • Development Initiation & Oversight: You will lead the inception and development of new hardware projects, integrating Marketing and Design insights throughout the process.
  • Concept Definition: You will formulate comprehensive business case & requirements and narratives, catering to a wide range of stakeholders including end-users and business partners.
  • Technical Understanding: You have a strong grasp of the technical aspects of the platform to effectively communicate with engineering teams.
  • Metrics and Analysis: You will analyze relevant internal and external data to inform decisions about future hardware development and enhancements.
  • Ecosystem Management: You will coordinate project timelines across multiple teams, synchronizing efforts across marketing, commercial, and engineering domains.
  • Market Research: You will conduct extensive market and user research to inform platform development, positioning Dexcom as a leader in the industry.
  • Brand Alignment: You will embed the Dexcom brand's vision and values into the hardware development process, maintaining strong understanding of product use cases.

What makes you successful:
  • You have extensive experience in hardware design, engineering, and manufacturing, with a preference for candidates with a background in wearable sensor technology.
  • You are a strategic thinker with a proven ability to develop actionable product requirements from complex stakeholder needs.
  • You have strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and leverage new technologies in product development.
  • You have exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the capability to work effectively across various engineering disciplines and business unites.
  • You have demonstrated expertise in leading market and user research to define and prioritize product features and requirements.
  • You have knowledge of high-volume manufacturing processes, especially in plastics and electronics, with a keen understanding of packaging design.
  • You have the ability to manage and prioritize competing demands and projects, aligning them with the company's strategic goals and operational capabilities.

Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 13+ years of related experience.
  • At this level a graduate degree may be expected with 6 years of related experience.

Remote Workplace: Your location will be a home office; you are not required to live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km). If you reside within commuting distance of a Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km) a hybrid working environment may be available. Ask about our Flex workplace option.
