Nature & Purpose of Position:The Technical Director is responsible for managing the technical aspects of live production at KSHU7, including video switching, camera work, and sound quality during broadcasts.
Other Requirements for the Position:- Production Direction:
- Oversee the operation of broadcast equipment during live shows.
- Switch between camera feeds, graphics, and pre-recorded segments during broadcasts.
- Leads and preps broadcast crews with cues for timing and operation of gear.
- Understands and anticipates the flow of each production.
- Studio Operation:
- Understands signal routing of each studio for varying configurations of shows.
- Ensure audio-visual quality and troubleshoot any technical issues.
- Coordinates gear in a manner that synchronizes audio and visual quality.
- Production Coordination:
- Collaborates with producers and other technical staff to create production schedules and scripts for each production.
- Plans, outlines, and creates cues or timelines for broadcasts with documentation and standard operating procedures.
