SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYST INTERNSHIP

Work Type: Internship (40 hours during summer & 20 hours remote during school year)

Locations: Neenah, WI; Rogers, AR; Roswell, GA; Knoxville, TN

Dates: June 2025 through May 2026

Our internship will offer you a chance to explore the breadth of opportunities available in the supply chain while working on real projects such as process improvements in flow planning for finished products, raw materials & finishing supplies, space utilization & optimization analysis, or warehouse operations systems analysis. You will be provided meaningful work experiences that contribute to the overall strategic business goals of Kimberly-Clark. You'll be treated & respected as a valuable contributor & given your own responsibilities & accountabilities. Your intern experience will include performance evaluations that provide you with valuable professional feedback to gauge your strengths & measure areas of improvement.

Qualifications

  • Students must have completed 2-3 years toward a four-year college degree; preferably in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics Management, Manufacturing Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 3.0 out of 4.0 overall GPA is preferred (transcripts will be requested).
  • Solid knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • A high degree of analytical skill is required
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Experience with Power BI/Query, Tableau
  • Advanced Excel skills

Neenah, Wisconsin & Rogers, Arkansas

Customer Logistics Strategies & Services - Provide efficient, cost-effective solutions for order management & aggressively work to improve supply chain performance. Build relationships with internal & external customers. Work proactively with customer & sales to reduce cost to serve. Communicate & resolve order issues with customers & sales. Key customers are retail customers, sales, transportation, distributors, & planning.

Neenah, Wisconsin

Logistics Capabilities - Provide continuous improvement solutions for order management & distribution to improve supply chain performance & to reduce costs. Activities include communicating & resolving order issues, assisting with DC & inventory constraint management, & report generation. Key customers are deployment, distribution, & customer solutions.

Distribution Operations -Team members manage the flow of product from the case packer through shipment loading at both mills & distribution centers. Drive performance of third party DC operations, problem solve across functional supply chain groups to deliver service to retail customer, support distribution initiatives (new DC start-ups, automation), & monitor supply chain cost. Key customers are business units, retail customers, mill operations, third party operators & transportation.


Distribution Process & Systems- Responsible for the Warehouse Management System that directs work activity within a DC related to unloading, storage, replenishment, case picking & outbound loading, as well as the standard processes & warehouse layouts that govern the network of DCs. Analysis of lift-truck operator productivity, industrial engineering of productivity standard, participation in expansion of e-commerce fulfillment processes, support of transformational order pick processes & opportunity to travel to mills & DCs for on-site engagement. Key customers are business units, retail customers, mill operations, third party operators & transportation.

Supply Chain Operating Office -Develops analytical tools to increase data visibility & availability for improved decision-making & cost savings across Supply Chain. The role will enable end-to-end process efficiencies & insights across areas such as order management, distribution, deployment & transportation. Activities include creating/maintaining operational dashboards using PowerBI, Tableau, Excel & Celonis process-mining, key problem-solving initiatives to improve data analyses, data visualizations, expand technical datasets & automation capabilities.

Procurement - Negotiates with suppliers on matters of quality, service price & other areas of value. Create & develop sourcing plans & conduct industry analysis. Participate on project teams & meet objectives by providing procurement expertise through acquiring assigned goods, equipment &/or services that provide the best total cost of ownership to the K-C. Creation & coordination of Procurement training, completion of supplier risk assessments & leadership of supplier relationship management activities. Key customers are global Procurement, business units, suppliers & product development.

Roswell, Georgia

Demand Planning - Supports the creation of volume forecasts to be delivered to Operations, through statistical generation & analysis in collaboration with Marketing, Sales, & Finance. This position also manages the demand of new business, new product launch & promotional planning process to drive forecast consensus within the division & supports the monthly S&OP cycle, the weekly S&OE, & especially the Dem& Review. The role supports the process for portfolio complexity control, financial trend versus dem& plan reconciliation & offers support for service level protection through safety stock review in collaboration with Supply Planning.

Production Planner - Responsible for scheduling production & managing material requirements to support that production. The scheduling process includes developing production plans given capacity, inventory, & demand to meet customer service requirements. The material requirement planning process consists of ensuring raw material & finishing supply availability to support production schedules. The production planner will collaborate with vendors & suppliers to align on the schedule in addition to the delivery dates for raw materials & finishing supplies.

Transformation Office -Analyze & interpret supply chain initiatives/processes to influence & drive productivity savings recommendations. The role will enable end-to-end process improvements & insights throughout the Supply Chain through improved data accuracy, data availability, & improved data insights/users views through automation & visualization. Activities include development/enhancements of metric reporting tools, enhancing training materials, understanding, & implementing improvements to dashboard & analytical reports, & identifying cost savings recommendations across Supply Chain based on data analytics.

Material Flow Planning - Provide support for our Extended Warehouse Management system by tracking requests & tracking issues giving the sector visibility to reoccurring system programs. Evaluate current store inventories & work with planning & logistics to form a recommendation for future storage that includes safety stock level, where material should be sourced from & a direct shipping process. Supporting key areas like inventory control & new user creation.

Knoxville, Tennessee

Transportation -- Collaboration with carriers for price, service, & equipment to achieve delivery of materials & product at minimum distribution costs. Analyze & perform mode/carrier selection, shipment tracking, & measurement of customer service & carrier performance. Key customers are distribution, retail customers & transportation providers.

The anticipated pay rate for this job is $21.50/hour. Individual pay levels will be based on multiple factors including, but are not limited to, location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
