Systems Engineer/Global Systems Engr

Responsibilities include:
The successful Systems Engineer will:
- Perform use case development, and prepare systems engineering artifacts including definition of Epics and Features under the direction of the Engineering Support ART to be developed by program Cross-Functional Product Teams to implement customer-requested capabilities
- Support the development and review of interface documents, system requirements, Verification Cross Reference Matrix (VCRM) development, architectural documentation, system engineering estimates, and author and perform formal and informal engineering reviews
- Provide use case development support to junior systems engineering team members to enhance use case skills in the department
- Have the ability to be flexible to support various tasking on short notice
The Systems Engineer must have:
- Relevant experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, and specialty engineers to develop solutions that includes a background in all aspects of the systems development life cycle
- Should have demonstrated contributions to implementation that includes the ability to analyze high level needs and defined a structured and logical approach to refine the capability into an integrated set of requirements that led to a fielded product
- Demonstrated the ability to communicate effectively, clearly present technical approaches and findings
- Experience in writing and implementing engineering plans within a project
Technical Skills Required:
- Must possess an understanding of systems engineering process and principles
- A proven track record of successfully applying system engineering principles to develop product solutions
- Experience developing system engineering artifacts (e.g., specifications, Interface Control Documents, Use Cases, System Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies, etc.)
- Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software and specialty engineers to develop solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively, and clearly present technical approaches and findings
- The ability to write and implement engineering plans within a project
Desired skills include:
- Experience working within an Agile development environment
- Domain experience with both Space and Missile Defense
- Experience with Systems Analysis, Metric Development, MBSE and Architecture development
Education: Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science, Math, Science, Engineering, or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience/combined education.
