Systems Engineer Product Owner (Force Operations)

We have successfully partnered finding technical talent for one of our most forward thinking engineering partners. Their company is focused on using their their size and talent to create nimble and unique solutions in Software Engineering, Cyber Security, Modeling & Simulation, Data Science & Analytics, Machine Learning, Energy, and Power Systems.

Responsibilities:

• Work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO).
• Responsible for the prioritization and validation of the development software for the Force Operations team.
• Review and understand Systems Engineering concepts, designs, and algorithms and providing guidance to the development team.
• Work with Program management in setting priorities for the capabilities and defects for the team for each product increment and sprint.
• Technical briefings and advisement to leadership on status and recommended courses of action, competing capabilities, performance, risks, and impacts to the IFMC mission.

Qualifications:

• Have a minimum of 7 years combined Government/DoD experience in performing the essential duties listed.
• Be able to obtain a Secret security clearance or higher.
• Basic understanding of Force Operations (FO) concepts to include asset protection, development and analysis of courses of action (COA), operation plans and orders, and airspace control orders and measures.
• Ability provide oversight to FO SW development team and verify the teams work based on agreed upon acceptance criteria.
• Able to work directly with the Agile software developers.
• Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset
• Be a US citizen
• Have a Bachelor's degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics.
• Knowledge in IBCs, PATRIOT, MEADS THAAD, C2BMC, or AGEIS and familiar with current EO/FO implemenations is one or more of the DoD services.
• Desired Qualifications:
  • Knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS and familiar with current FO implementations in one or more of the DoD services.
  • Prior Product Owner experience on a SCRUM team is a plus.
