We are looking for a Tax Analyst who will join our team.
The Transaction Tax Analyst is a driven individual who seeks to learn, grow and develop their skills as they assist and support the Transaction Tax Manager and Senior Analyst with the development and execution of department initiatives and projects. These initiatives and projects are heavily focused on leveraging process optimization/automation practices and technology, to pursue an industry leading approach to transaction tax management. The analyst will also be responsible for various routine compliance activities such as data collection, reporting, process management & reconciliation. This position will also assist with limited income tax related processes and transaction tax related audit support.
In this role you will:
• Assists with department initiatives and projects to optimize and automate taxability determination, tracking, compliance and processes through the use and development of technology such as Robotic Process Automation (R.P.A) & Artificial Intelligence (A.I.).
• Process monthly, quarterly and annually outsourced tax compliance including data collection and reconciliation of such data, including regular communications with consultants.
• Responsible for review and preparation of reconciliations for personal property tax, real estate tax, and business licenses to jurisdictions.
• Responsible for filing unclaimed property reports and researching abandoned property law changes.
• Researches proper application of transaction tax laws to a variety of business transactions including sales, purchases, expansions, acquisitions and restructuring.
• Assist with state and local audit examinations to provide support and explanations for positions taken on the tax returns for sales & use tax, property tax, and unclaimed property.
What you'll need to be successful:
• Bachelor's Degree, Finance/Accounting preferred but not required.
• 0 - 2 Years of experience prefered

• Critical thinker, who is able to understand and accurately interpret tax laws, rules and regulations
The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $65,900.00 - $77,500.00 per year. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
