Job Description Summary
The Vice President of Data and Analytics (VPDA) will be responsible for defining and executing the data and analytics vision, strategy, and operations at SRAlab. The VPDA will lead, develop, and oversee SRAlab's data and analytics program, establishing a strategy and roadmap that aligns enterprise data and analytics capabilities with SRAlab's strategy and mission to transform rehabilitation and outcomes. This executive-level role will participate in and drive enterprise-wide decision-making and develop strategies by enabling high-quality, timely, and accessible insights and analytics. The VPDA role will also be highly collaborative, partnering with interdisciplinary teams to understand and meet information needs across SRAlab. As part of these responsibilities, the VPDA will also ensure efficient and aligned data governance; effective deployment of analytics resources, tools, and models; and appropriate application of advanced analytics techniques (e.g., natural language processing, machine learning, and AI).

The VPDA will play a critical role in advancing SRAlab's mission by ensuring data and analytics drive transformative clinical care, operational efficiency, and groundbreaking research. Job Description

Vice President, Data and Analytics:

  • Oversees the enterprise data and analytics program, with direct span of control over all centralized data and/or analytics resources.
  • Leads, mentors, and oversees data and analytics teams to fulfill the needs of the organization, facilitating skills development, service delivery, and customer relationships across SRAlab
  • Develops and refines enterprise data and analytics vision, strategy, and roadmaps to embed analytics across the organization and drive consumer experience transformation, clinical/operational workflows, strategic growth, research, and value-based performance
  • Champions a data-informed enterprise, driving cultural change and expectations of effective data and analytics use in decisions across the organization
  • Collaborates with senior leaders, offering expert consultation on all enterprise-level data-related initiatives including service deployment, personnel recruiting, skills/data literacy training, technology development, and application of analytics within the business
  • Serves as an active member of executive decision-making bodies, ensuring continuity between leadership vision, strategy, data and analytics operations
  • Drives collaboration between the analytics program and other SRAlab departments and business units, promoting and establishing the value of the analytics program to the organization
  • Helps establish responsibilities and expectations for data and analytics resources in distributed areas outside of centralized data and analytics teams, ensuring a uniform level of service throughout the organization while enabling operational agility
  • Acts as a key leader and sponsor in enterprise data governance efforts, working with clinical, research, operational, and business decision makers on the definition of key data elements, collaboration with operational data stewards to ensure data quality, and driving expectations of data trust and integrity throughout the organization
  • Maintains a broad view of enterprise data assets and needs, strategically developing data and analytics capabilities that are needed to support ongoing clinical, research, operational and business needs
  • Participates actively in the development and optimization of major data source systems to maximize data and analytics fidelity, collaborating closely with IT teams
  • Develops proactively and maintains self-service capabilities across the organization, as well as ensuring effective use of those capabilities by clinical, research, operational and business customers/partners
  • Fosters technological innovation, leveraging emerging analytics technologies to drive novel insights and enable more sophisticated means of data-informed decision making in service of strategic, clinical, financial, and operational improvements
  • Oversees analytics budgets and resource allocation, ensuring efficient use of funds and alignment with organization priorities
  • Perform all other duties that may be assigned in the best interest of the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab.

Reporting Relationships

Reports directly to the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, finance, computer science, information systems, mathematics, engineering, actuarial sciences, economic sciences, analytics, or related field required.
  • Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., MBA, PhD, or MS in Data Science) and/or professional certifications in analytics or healthcare data governance (e.g., CAP, CHDA) preferred.
  • Ten years of leadership experience, including at least five years in healthcare analytics, with a proven ability to align data strategies to organizational priorities required.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and build relationships with executive leadership and diverse groups across the organization required.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing innovative, data driven strategies that resulted in measurable clinical, operational or financial improvements preferred.
  • Experience leading analytics teams in complex, multi-disciplinary environments, including, strong skills in communication and relationship management, and a demonstrated ability to mentor and lead cross-functional teams preferred.
  • Expertise in deploying modern data platforms (e.g., Tableau, Snowflake) and applying advanced analytics techniques (e.g. predictive modeling, machine learning and AI) to address healthcare challenges preferred.
  • Experience with Cerner preferred.

Pay and Benefits*:

Pay Range: $180,000annually - $350,000.00 annually plus opportunity for variable incentive compensation (VIC)
