Job Summary:
- Develop and implement a long-term vision for medical review operations aligned with organizational goals.
- Conduct market analysis and competitor assessments to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the medical review team.
- Optimize operational efficiency and productivity through process improvement initiatives.
- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track performance.
- Oversee budget development and management for the medical review department.
- Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Conduct regular quality audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with clinical experts to develop and maintain evidence-based clinical policies and procedures.
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent within the medical review team.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to medical directors and staff.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients.
- Understand client needs and develop customized solutions to meet their expectations.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients on medical review matters.
- MD or DO degree with board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- Current and unrestricted medical license as required for clinical practice in a state of the United States.
- Seven or more years of leadership experience in a medical review or utilization management role.
- Minimum of five years of clinical practice experience.
- Proven track record in driving operational efficiency and improving quality.
- Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
