The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Instructor positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. The successful candidate will have demonstrated excellent qualifications in education and research and be Board-Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
Responsibilities may include clinical experiences in both the in-patient and out-patient settings that will be specific to the division and expertise of the individual candidate. These responsibilities will vary and may include Cognitive Neurology, Epilepsy, General Neurology, Multiple Sclerosis, Neurointensivist, Neurogenetics, Neuromuscular Disease, Neuro-ophthalmology, Neuro-psychology, Parkinson's Disease, Movement Disorders, Sleep Disorders, Stroke or Critical Care related topics. The candidate will be assisted in developing a career in an academic setting per their assigned division within the department of Neurology.
The successful applicant will have an opportunity to develop an individual training experience in research skills and teaching while developing a career in an academic setting.
